To insert multiple pictures and resize selected cells in Microsoft Excel, follow these steps:
Open Excel:
Launch Microsoft Excel and open the workbook where you want to insert pictures.
Insert Pictures:
Click on the worksheet where you want to insert pictures.
Go to the "Insert" tab on the Excel ribbon.
Select Pictures:
Click on the "Pictures" or "Online
Pictures" option, depending on whether you want to insert pictures from
your computer or from an online source.
If you choose "Pictures," you'll be prompted to
browse your computer and select the images you want to insert.
If you choose "Online Pictures," you can search
for and insert images from various online sources, such as Bing Image Search or
your organization's image library.
Insert the Pictures:
Once you've selected the pictures you want to insert, click
the "Insert" button.
Resize Pictures:
Click on one of the inserted pictures to select it. You'll
see small resizing handles at the corners and edges of the picture.
Resize and Position the Picture:
To resize the picture, click and drag one of the corner handles while holding the Shift key to maintain the picture's aspect ratio.
To move the picture, click and drag it to the desired location within the selected cell or cells.
Apply to Other Pictures (Optional):
If you want to apply the same resizing and positioning to other pictures, hold the Ctrl key and click on the additional pictures to select them.
Once multiple pictures are selected, you can resize and reposition them simultaneously.
Fine-Tune Positioning:
To align pictures precisely within cells or relative to
other objects, you can use Excel's alignment tools. Right-click on the selected
picture(s), choose "Format Picture" or "Size and
Properties," and explore the options under the "Size &
Properties" or "Position" tab to adjust the placement and size.
Adjust Cell Size (Optional):
If you find that the selected cells need to be resized to
accommodate the pictures, you can manually adjust the row height and column
width. To do this, hover your cursor over the boundary between row or column
headers until you see a double-headed arrow. Then, click and drag to adjust the
size.
Format Pictures (Optional):
You can further format the inserted pictures by
right-clicking on them and choosing "Format Picture." Here, you can
modify aspects like borders, effects, and more.
Save Your Workbook: Don't forget to save your Excel workbook to retain these changes.
